Comunicado público Machi Celestino Córdova anunciando que mantiene la huega de hambre (Esp/Ing)

A la opinión pública nacional e internacional, a mi pueblo nación mapuche, a las autoridades tradicionales, a las comunidades en resistencia, al pueblo no mapuche que resiste y lucha.

A todos los pueblos originarios del mundo comunico lo siguiente:

Kiñe: Al entorno del llamado a deponer la huelga de hambre, dicho del gobierno regional Víctor Manoli vengo a declarar lo siguiente:

En primer lugar, debemos recordar que dicho llamado es parte de la maniobra política engañosa por parte del gobierno, ya contamos con la experiencia anterior de la huelga de hambre del 2018 del Machi Celestino Córdova, por lo que en dicha oportunidad; en un gran consenso de las autoridades espirituales mapuche, weichafe, de los distintos territorios, se llegó a acuerdo de buena fe, de suspender la huelga de hambre atendiendo al llamado que realizó el gobierno.

En dicha oportunidad, no cumplió el gobierno ante el llamado que realizó de dialogar y resolver favorablemente el petitorio de aquella vez.

Por la acción de fuerza del Machi Celestino Córdova, ha decidido continuar con la huelga de hambre intensificando las distintas acciones en exigencia de nuestros derechos, lo que significa que prontamente iniciará huelga seca.

No estamos dispuestos a tranzar con la política engañosa del Estado y del gobierno de Chile y aprovecho de hacer un amplio llamado a todos los sectores y territorios en resistencia a continuar avanzando, intensificando la lucha dejando en libertad de acción.

De igual manera, hago un amplio llamado a todos los privados de libertad a apoyar la huelga de hambre a través de distintas acciones. Y con esto dando un ultimátum al Estado y gobierno de turno a que den respuesta al actual petitorio.

Epu: Con el traslado tardío en cuanto al tiempo de los hermanos Trangol a un CET.

Una vez más queda en evidencia por parte del Estado chileno y el gobierno que cuando se trata de los Presos Políticos Mapuche. Se ejerce constantemente represalias, irregularidades, distintas restricciones tanto a nosotros como a nuestros familiares y entorno.

Ahora bien, si hoy los Presos Políticos Mapuche, hermanos Trangol, han sido trasladados a un CET. Es justamente porque hemos estado denunciando públicamente el comportamiento de la institución, cómo es Gendarmería de Chile.

Sobre este traslado lo tomaremos como un piso para avanzar en cuanto a la aplicación del Convenio 169 de la OIT para todos los demás Presos Políticos Mapuche y no mapuche referente a la causa mapuche que se encuentran privados de libertad en los distintas cárceles.

To the national and international public, to our Mapuche people-nation, to the traditional authorities, to the communities in resistance, to the non-Mapuche people that resist and struggle.

To all of the Indigenous peoples of the world.

Kiñe: Regarding the call to end the hunger strike from the regional governor, Víctor Manoli, we declare the following:

First, we must remember that this call is part of the deceitful political maneuvering of the government. We already have the experience of Machi Celestino Córdova’s last hunger strike in 2018, where in a consensus of Mapuche spiritual authorities of the different territories, it was agreed upon in good faith, to suspend the hunger strike answering the call of the government.

On that occasion, the government didn’t fulfill the call made for dialogue and to favorably resolve our demands.

Due to the strength of Machi Celestino Córdova, he has decided to continue with the hunger strike, intensifying the different actions in demand of our rights, which means that he will soon also stop consuming liquids.

We are not willing to compromise with the deceitful policies of the state and government of Chile. We make a widespread call to all of the sectors and territories in resistance to continue advancing, intensifying the struggle, doing whatever you feel is necessary.

Likewise, we call on all those deprived of their freedom to support the hunger strike through different actions. With this, we give an ultimatum to the state and current government that they respond to the current demands.

Epu: Regarding the recent transfer of the Trangol brothers to a CET.

Once again it is clear that when it comes to Mapuche political prisoners, the Chilean state and government constantly exercise reprisals, irregularities, and different restrictions both against us as well as our families and those around us.

If today the Mapuche political prisoners, the Trangol brothers, have been transferred to a CET, it is precisely because we have been publicly denouncing the behavior at the institution, like that of the Gendarmerie of Chile.

We will take this transfer as a step forward in the application of Convention 169 of the OIT for all of the other Mapuche political prisoners and non-Mapuche prisoners related to the Mapuche cause who are deprived of their freedom in different prisons.
